Trivia: Meryl Streep had asked her alma mater, Vasser College, if they could film the college graduation scenes on their campus. They refused even though Streep serves on their Board of Trustees and two of her children attend there.

Goofs: Continuity: In the scene where Jane (Meryl Streep) is discussing her situation with her psychiatrist, the part in her hair jumps from the middle to the side several times when the camera shot changes from the psychiatrist back to Jane.
