Incredible–if these people can do this with a measly $5K, what could they do with a real budget?
Kudos to all for a terrific job~!

Great short flick … I wish it were longer … faithful to the book which is good. I don’t know what the problem was with the 921 that didn’t like this … but yes … the sound is bad … need to be louder … had to hold the speaker to my ear in order to hear it … do something about the sound if you make another one. Otherwise excellent flick. :)

@daviddtv2010 Yes but Jackson is working on The Hobbit as well as tales that connect The Hobbit and LOTR. This will probably be retold by Jackson as it is a fairly important link to LOTR. I loved this fan film but wish they would have gone with a tale or two from The Silmarillion

Good movie and I salute to makers. Really close to the book and effects too are awesome, only thing when I watched there wasn’t feeling that I watch LOTR but if we close eyes for that movie is really good.

jmiester25 August 18th, 2010 at 6:33 pm

yeah i think the trilogy did a better job of making it a live action film, but i wish they put some of this stuff in the trilogy

castlekeeper2 August 18th, 2010 at 6:47 pm

The only thing I can say is I can’t hear it. It needs more volume…So I couldn’t watch it as I didn’t feel like straining to hear every word.

daviddtv2010 August 18th, 2010 at 7:18 pm

@alterbridge93 Yes I agree…….. Tolkin wrote at least 4 books I know of.. Including another two “Lost Books of Tales…… Bring it on..

daviddtv2010 August 18th, 2010 at 7:22 pm

This looks awesome… Ashame Mr Jackson isn’t in charge… Can’t wait to see “The Hobbit , which comes before this one…. Very good..

ollietwistable August 18th, 2010 at 7:29 pm

Great effort! Amazing what talented folk can accomplish without the need for Mordor’s… err… I mean the movie industry’s help.
